Girlfriends I have said it before and I’ll say it again, this winter has f*cked up my skin! I’ve been super dry all the while breaking out like a teenager.. I recently started using the famous pink drying lotion, and am really impressed with it for clearing up blemishes overnight. I started doing a little research on skincare for acne, and Mario Badescu kept popping up. SO I ran my happy ass down to Ulta and picked up the Mario Badescu Acne starter kit. The kit includes a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, mask and spot treatment.
WEEK 1
I’m guessing things need to get worse before they get better?? Well my skin is actually more broken out with several smaller breakouts and a few monstrous pimples to top it all off. I am going to give this another few week before going back to my old routine.
WEEK 2
Wellllll, I’m still not seeing much improvement, but am forging on like a skin soldier. I have switched to only using the cleanser and toner at night, and using a mild cleanser (PCA Skin) in the morning. Let’s see how this shakes out.
WEEK 3
I was on the road for biznasssss in Dallas, and my skin was starting to improve. Maybe the good old Texas DRY air, or this shit is starting to do its job and kick some acne ass.
WEEK 4
While my skin slightly improved, this line is far too drying for me. I am not cracking or flaking, but can tell my skin is super crazy dry.
I am going to stop this line, and return to my former skincare routine from PCA Skin. I would suggest giving this a shot if you have OILY acne prone skin, as it does the job of drying the skin out.
