Handmade Shave Soap by Hilltop Designs

Girlfriends I recently received a package from a friend who is an independent consultant for a lovely line of handmade products called Hilltop Designs out of Michigan. Every product is handmade with simple and natural ingredients. Included in the package was a shave soap bar, charcoal face bar and a turmeric mask.

I first decided to try out the shave bar since my legs were in desperate need of a good shave 😉 This From Scratch Bar of Cold Press soap is made with Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Mango Butter, Lye and Water. Mango Butter is the perfect emollient, and it helps in softening and soothing the skin. To use: create a generous lather in your hands. Apply to skin that has been warmed, and then shave! It’s that simple! I like the idea of using a bar soap as opposed to a gel for a few reasons.. First you avoid the grime of shave gel in your tub and second, you can cut the bar down for easier storage and travel.

I really enjoyed using this shave bar, and the best part is my legs are smoother and softer than ever! I’d definitely recommend giving this natural and handmade product a whirl, I know I plan to purchase once my current bar is gone.
